"Tainted," "Selfish." What comes to mind? What comes to mind is Slum Village. With the untimely parting of J Dilla, I wasn't sure if they would be able to create another piece of art that would capture the essence of who they are. There are many rappers that lack creativity withought great producers (**cough**cough** Yung Joc!)! But the Slum are a great exception. With that being said, they have leaked a new song called "Drop the Drums" and they absolutely capture the gritty old school hip hop sound we love to hear from Rakim and Slick Rick, with infectious lyrics like " I don't bother no body, I say LA DEE DA DEE, because I like to party."
